The original Venom Shock's Turmoil coverstock remains a timeless choice for those medium-dry lanes, but there are times when you need to kick it up a notch on fresher or slicker surfaces.  Enter the Turmoil MXC Solid Reactive coverstock, harnessing technology from the Evoke and Forge Flare but on a more subdued cover base. With the Duramax additive sealing the deal, the Venom ExJ promises to seamlessly integrate into your lineup, offering a significant upgrade from the Venom Shock or standing tall as your benchmark ball.

When to use

Speed Dominant:  Bowlers with a great deal of speed relative to their rev rate will find the Venom ExJ useful likely in the place where most balanced bowlers use the Venom Shock.  The earlier and smoother coverstock will allow speed dominant bowlers to throw a Venom when the Venom Shock would be too clean or weak. 

Balanced: For balanced bowlers the Venom ExJ is a benchmark ball, offering a smooth and controllable motion on medium-dry to medium-heavy conditions.  The greatest distinction between the Venom Shock and the ExJ Venom is that the ExJ is earlier and smoother, making it easier to use as a benchmark but less suited for creating steep angles. 

Rev Dominant: Crankers will use the Venom ExJ on heavier oil fresh patterns.  The traction in the oil along with the fast spinning and stable Gear core makes the Venom ExJ great for rev dominant players to use this one more than any previous Venom.

    This Ball is a BEAST

    I picked this ball up as a plan to be a little more aggressive than my shock. I then changed the plan and decided to drill this more for tournaments and took it to Nationals. It was drilled 50x4.5x35. This ball rolls early and keeps on trucking. I cant believe how much this ball grabs. I am not able to throw it on a house shot unless I leave it at Laneshine. Then it is a monster. This is my lead off ball for leagues this season at laneshine but cleaned. Cant wait to see what it does. I did manage to throw my only 700 of summer with it.

    Venom Shock goes Super Sayan

    A better, faster, stronger Venom Shock? Yes please.
    It is nice to see the Gear core get a serious cover stock upgrade, allowing it to be much more versatile and useful in modern conditions.
    If you like the Venom Shock, you are going to love this one.

    WOW Shock on roids

    Didn't know ball was going to be as good. Threw it fresh out of box on lanes with a few games on it. Had to move left after throwing my Raptor as it needed more room. New ball carry was real, as my light shots, and tuggers still got the corner pins out. Creates a big footprint. Love the full arc motion and continues great through pocket. Not jumpy for me. Have friend with hand and slower speed and needed to polish. Takes polish well, and still seemed strong. Created more down lane motion with polish. Will be a top bag ball.

    I Love This Ball!!!!

    I got my EXJ VENOM the day before a tournament. I played with it for a little bit when I got it and the next day used it in the tournament. I was bowling on deadman’s curve Kegel oil pattern I pulled it out for the first game and it crushed the pins when I threw it right. Everyone was trying to play straight on the pattern but I was able to slow hook it down the lane.

    One of my first balls in my arsenal when I was first starting out was an OG used venom shock that had the shock label on it since that ball I have gotten a new venom this past season. If you can get your hands on this ball GET IT without hesitation.

    Fresh off the drill press and straight to the lanes I went! Out if box I rolled a 237 & 246! I was very impressed and pleased with the outcome of this piece. The shape it gave me was amazing and was quick on the turn. KEEP EM COMING MOTIV!
