The original Venom Shock's Turmoil coverstock remains a timeless choice for those medium-dry lanes, but there are times when you need to kick it up a notch on fresher or slicker surfaces.  Enter the Turmoil MXC Solid Reactive coverstock, harnessing technology from the Evoke and Forge Flare but on a more subdued cover base. With the Duramax additive sealing the deal, the Venom ExJ promises to seamlessly integrate into your lineup, offering a significant upgrade from the Venom Shock or standing tall as your benchmark ball.

When to use

Speed Dominant:  Bowlers with a great deal of speed relative to their rev rate will find the Venom ExJ useful likely in the place where most balanced bowlers use the Venom Shock.  The earlier and smoother coverstock will allow speed dominant bowlers to throw a Venom when the Venom Shock would be too clean or weak. 

Balanced: For balanced bowlers the Venom ExJ is a benchmark ball, offering a smooth and controllable motion on medium-dry to medium-heavy conditions.  The greatest distinction between the Venom Shock and the ExJ Venom is that the ExJ is earlier and smoother, making it easier to use as a benchmark but less suited for creating steep angles. 

Rev Dominant: Crankers will use the Venom ExJ on heavier oil fresh patterns.  The traction in the oil along with the fast spinning and stable Gear core makes the Venom ExJ great for rev dominant players to use this one more than any previous Venom.

    First Motiv ball purchased completely worth the switch. Have thrown pretty much every other brand and decided to give Motiv a try. Ball has been my go to ball out of the bag on house shot or sport shot.

    VENOM EXJ My First Motiv Ball

    After taking a 15 year break in the game due to some injuries, I am back and my first ball is a MOTIV! I am so glad I picked Motiv, not only are they an American Co, they make their stuff here in America.

    So, let's get started. I went with the VENOM EXJ for several reasons, I like the idea of having a commemorative ball based on an already proven product and the thousands of reviews for the Venom Shock.

    As my first Motiv ball, I can say that the Venom EXJ is truly a "benchmark ball" I have not seen a ball from any other Mfg that acts like the EXJ. I can place my feet from the 20 board to the 35 board and easily play anywhere from the 1st through the 4th arrow. My first 3 games were 233, 189, 233 . People around you know when you strike, the energy relesed when this ball hits the pocket is so destructive to the pins it's terrifying! I am so pleased with this ball I can't wait to get another Motiv ball actually 2 more, one stronger and one for dry lane

    Before picking up the ExJ Venom I was throwing a Black Widow 3.0 and now that I've started throwing this ball I leave the hammer in the bag. One of the best balls I've owed and one I'll be throwing for awhile.

    This is what I've been missing

    This is exactly what I was hoping for. I love my Black Venom and Venom Shock. But I found for my style I needed something with a motion a little earlier and rounder. Enter the EXJ Venom. This is a Venom Shock that hit the gym hard. It picks up very well on the midlane and still has enough left for a pop on the back end. I love this ball. 50x5x30
