View Privacy PolicyWhen it comes to ball choice in short patterns, as a two-hand bowler, I always chose to go for the plastic ball in international competitions. Now, those days are pretty much over. Although it is hard to choose between my Tank Rampage and the Venom Shock Pearl, I mostly bowl with this one first. Logically, this ball is very clean gives me a lot of push at the end of the lane, which is something I need most of the time. Oh, and yes, it hits harder than I would think most of the time!
For the house shots, this is the ball to go to if you feel like playing the lanes straighter with a lot of margin of error!

This ball hits hard! Threw 300 2nd game out of the box with a 782 to go with it. Easy length and a very angular motion on the back end. I have found success with this ball playing both deep and up the ditch. I love this ball on the Chameleon pattern. A perfect ball to go with the original Venom Shock.

I'm pleased to say that this ball is well deserving of bearing the Venom Shock name. As a huge fan of the OG Shock, I'm seeing the same predictability overall, but with a cleaner shape and a more angular bite.
A couple things with this ball: It’s significantly weaker than the OG Shock, so I’d recommend drilling it with a bigger val angle and stronger pin than your Shock if you are looking for a compliment. Also, at box finish, I found it to be a little bit hard to control on a THS, but it looked significantly better on some broken down PBA patterns. In comparison to the Octane Carbon, I found that it’s equally sharp, but a pinch weaker, but that could also be due to the stronger pin that I used with my Carbon, so that much is up for debate I suppose.
I ended up taking my VSP down to 3000 to make it a little more versatile for the house shots I bowl on most, but polish on this ball gives it a shape like no other ball in the current line. It looks like someone kicked it. All in all, I'm impressed, but not....Shocked...that Motiv hit another home run with this one.

Straight up love this ball. I it drilled pin up and to the right of my ring finger for a smooth hook. Used it last night on league shot 300 and threw 17 strikes in a row with it. Could have been more but my middle finger got hung in it on the 18th lol. But this goes deep rolls exactly like I wanted it to. its like a truck even on light pocket shots. I was a big fan of the venom shock. And the pearl lives up to its standards.

As a super high Revs cranker who bowls with 4 other lefties I needed a ball to snap thru the carry down after game 1 and boy did I find it. I threw this ball out of the box and never picked up another ball all night. Games 255, 277, 300 - 832 out of the box. During practice I left 5 pocket 8's thus I moved back 4 boards and never moved again. Going to buy a few more for future use. I am a Left Handed Full Roller and throw 19 to 21 mph depending on oil pattern.
