The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    been using for years, with over 500 games on it - still going strong

    Even after hundreds of games, this ball is still the smooth controllable centerpiece of my arsenal. if it ever dies on me, I'll be grabbing another one immediately.

    I wish I had started earlier

    I'm 44, and haven't bowled regularly for almost 30 years. The Venom Shock is my first fit-to-me bowling ball. It was purchased in February of 2022. I always had fun throwing house balls when I was a kid. The Venom Shock has made what I remember being a fun occasional outing into a super fun pastime. Even brand new to bowling, the Venom Shock is an effective ball.

    Makes want another Motiv Ball

    Got a Shock a few months back... After picking up a purple tank. I really like this ball, wish I would have picked one up years ago. As soon as it leaves my hand i know where it is going to hit the pins. Now i need something for heavy oil to complete 3 ball bag for league.

    Just incredibly smooth

    I just fell I love with this ball. Took me a few games to get acquainted but the Venom Shock has helped me earn a 300 game and five 700’s .
    This ball is my go to every night. The mix and destruction it unleashes on the pins in just a blast to watch! Highly recommended. Thanks Motiv!!
