The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    Amazing Ball, strong backend

    Great ball! Smooth arching strong backend. Bowled a 300 third game with it! Motiv definitely has a new customer. Great equipment.

    Went back to this ball

    after two years of bowling with other equipment went back to venom shock went up a pound and raised my average by ten pins. not bad went from a 187 to a 197 and have 5 700 series so far this season

    Venom Shock

    You hear the stories and think this is too good to be true. It’s not. The Shock delivers everything as expected. This ball. This is the 1st ball I’ve owned from Motiv and I have to say it won’t be my last. I am proud that it’s made in USA as well as in the great state of Michigan.

    Owned 7 of this ball and loved every layout I’ve played with. I just won 3 tournaments all throwing different shocks. My favorite would be a simple skid flip layout to roll over 22 to 9 and flood the hole. I also like a stronger 28 to 6 when lanes have burned up.

    Ej Tackett has brought this Ball to how many tv shows?

    Incredible ball, the magic ball, if you really know what you are doing you can make some amazing hooks, I would definitely own another ball for creating arsenals that would be unstoppable.. EJ Tackett is unstoppable with this ball on the right pattern but even with any pattern once you can control the speed and know how the ball works!!! It's a win, win every time!! I love this ball and its so much fun!
