Fatal Venom

The Fatal Venom™ provides a deadly combination of length with an angular strike on light-medium oil conditions.  It features the latest MOTIV® cover technology and the outstanding original Gear™ core from the Venom™ Shock.

The Gear™ core gives the Fatal Venom™ both low RG and low differential so it spins super-fast with minimal track flare.  The result is a stable ball motion with massive energy retention.

Utilizing the latest Infusion™ Pearl Reactive cover, the Fatal Venom™ offers great length and angularity. These traction characteristics joined with the control of the Gear™ core provide a clean and moderately angular motion that is ideal for scoring on drier lanes.

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant: For straighter angles on moderately dry lanes.  The Gear core and Infusion combo will allow the bowler to use the pearl to clear the front without sacrificing control down lane.
  • Balanced: A great dry lane benchmark piece.  If you know that there is not a lot of volume on the lane or the lane surface is higher friction, this will be a great first ball out of the bag.
  • Rev Dominant: When the most angular balls in the product line are too much down lane, the Fatal Venom will be the go-to option.

    Perfect compliment to my Enzo!

They compliment each other well, a nice, arcy motion from the Fatal and the sharp angle from the Enzo. The Fatal is very good on broken down shots and short patterns. Love the ball, don't throw it enough.

About Me Right handed, no thumb, rev dominant, league bowler

    Currently my favorite Pearl

Being a rev dominant, one handed, no thumb, righty bowler most every ball I throw I am forced to be as far left as possible. This can be quite annoying as most balls any company produces these days are heavier cores and more reactive coverstocks. It's to the point that it's easier and easier for someone to have almost no hand and find something that works for them. If you have all the hand in the world and can't shut it off(dry lanes force me to use a plastic spare ball and it still hooks)it can be quite annoying. Where do you go from there? Urethane? There is such a stigma behind using urethane the other guys on the lanes are quietly thinking or openly expressing disdain for you resorting to Urethane as if you are cheating in some way. This ball drilled out to 5" pin to pap works pretty nice for me at the last mark on the left but atleast I don't have to have my leg against the side of the ball return or have to step left around it on my approach. I can generally get this ball to hook the whole lane yet still get in the pocket, hits solidly and it creates very nice pin action. Not a lot of corner pins either. A little more flare than the venom shock which is also a great ball.

    Looks and Performance!

Shelf appeal, check. Performance, check. Venom, check. Need I say more? Probably not, but I will. Truly a killer on medium to dry lanes. The backend on this ball is ridiculous on the right condition and hits hard just as any Motiv ball does really. A compliment to the Venom Shock, which is clearly one of the greats considering how it has stood the test of time. Sure there was a Venom Shock Pearl, but that had a different core so this would be a true pearl version of the Shock. Can’t argue with history can you? Plus the clamshell and lime green color looks stunning rolling down the lane. Just a bonus, of course.

    Fatal Venom

This is actually the 5th Motiv ball that I have purchased in the past several months. I am hooked on Motiv Balls. Not only is the company very customer oriented but their products in my opinion are the best in the country. All 5 of my bowling ball perform fantastic. I would highly recommend that if you are a bowler of any level put one of their balls in your bag

I have never thrown a pearl that just floats through the fronts with ease and makes the the turn down lane.
