The Forge™ Flare brings the heat with solid reactive technology unlike anything ever seen before in the MOTIV® line!  Designed for use on medium-heavy oil conditions, it provides unparalleled traction in the front of the lane, without sacrificing down lane reaction.

The ability of the Forge™ Flare to shape so easily in higher oil volumes is possible because of new Coercion™ MXC (MaXimum Continuation) Solid Reactive cover stock.  It is the strongest solid shell ever created by MOTIV®.  Most impressive is the continuation from such a strong cover.

The Forge™ Flare partners this new cover technology with the symmetrical Detonator™ core, which is utilized to provide a low RG and high differential.  The result is a fast revving, strong, and continuous bowling ball with massive track flare potential.

When To Use:

  • Speed Dominant: Often, speed dominant bowlers are forced to use an asymmetric bowling ball to limit the skid phase as much as possible.  Sometimes, this means sacrificing continuation.  By combining this unbelievably strong cover with a symmetrical core, the bowler will be able to rely on the shell to slow the ball down without sacrificing continuation at all.
  • Balanced: This is the ball that a tweener dreams of.  A ball so strong that they are able to move left on high volume patterns and see shape instead of having their shim taken away by the higher rev players.  The Forge Flare opens a new portion of the lane for fresh oil and early transition in heavy oil for balanced bowlers.
  • Rev Dominant: Rev dominant players will find that they can shape a Forge Flare with ease in a way that no other solid cover ball has ever allowed them on heavy oil.

Can not say enough about this ball

After the end of my 2nd league season, I went to my PSO to get my equipment refit. Though sold out at the time, he said if I could get my hands on the Forge Flare do not pass it up. A friend had one that wasn’t a good fit for him so I bought it. After plugging and re-drilling the thumb, the first 4 times I threw it down the lane, nothing but strikes. Just felt different off my hand than anything else I had thrown. My PSO , said it never came off my friends hand that good as he came down to watch me after oiling lanes and hearing the pins fly. Absolutely love this ball, as a speed dominant/ low rev guy that has started playing tournaments this summer on sport shots and challenge patterns. With more oil than the THS I bowl on in league has helped me places far better than expected. Thank you Motiv

Big traction. Endless Continuation. Extra Smooth.

    Layout: 50 x 4-3/4 x 40

I have a tamed down, control type, layout on my Forge Flare and this ball just doesn’t stop turning in the soup. You’re going to see the Flare read the lane early because of the Coercion MXC coverstock paired up with the low RG of the Detonator weight block inside. The high differential of the Detonator weight block is what keeps the ball continually hooking as it goes down the lane. This ball does not stop hooking.

If you’re speed dominant, you’re going to love that the cover is strong enough to read the lane correctly.

If you’re rev dominant, you’re going to love that the cover does not overreact when it starts to make a move and keeps the reaction extremely smooth.

This ball has helped me get my game together

I’m relatively new to bowling, (Just over a year) I’ve since become hooked with the sport and bowl 3-4 days a week and toss two leagues This is my first Motiv Ball and all I can say is Wpa!! it’s helped me tremendously on league night. It’s perfect for THS with medium to Heavy conditions. I have used it at a House that tends to lay down heavy lakes of oil and it’s a bit harder for me to stay consistent with the ball. I would think the Jackal Legacy would be more suitable for those conditions. The Forge Flare has converted me to a Motiv fan.

    Forge Flare
    Coercion MXC Solid Reactive
    Core: Detonator
    Type: Symmetrical
    Box Finish: 2000 Grit LSS

    Strengths

Traction. The 2000 OOB surface provides a smooth shape with plenty of continuation, along with its heavy rolling traction.
Coercion MXC cover rolls extremely early, making Forge Flare ideal for heavier patterns.
Forge Flare has a continuous heavy arc roll on the backend, in most cases strong weaponry will muscle up too early and stop however this is not the case with Forge Flare.

    Weaknesses
MXC is an extremely big coverstock. Lower ball speeds may find Forge Flare too big, because Forge Flare is so heavy rolling once the pattern fades up front you may find yourself moving your feet or putting it up.

    Summary
The Forge Flare is very useful in a few different areas. Lower rev rate bowlers can find all the hook they need with the box finish, while more rev-dominant players can use the Forge Fire to blend out wet/dry conditions to avoid an over/under reaction.

Forge Flare is the strongest out of the previous two, the core remains the same however MXC is the difference maker.

On heavier patterns Forge Flare controls the breakpoint and creates a smoother shape to that of Forge Fire, bigger rev rates like myself will enjoy using it to even out wet/dry pattern creating a bigger footprint at the breakpoint because of MXC.

If you’re in the market for a heavy rolling, continuous, even weapon look no further than Forge Flare.
There is no extinguishing this Flare and although your opponents will not thank you for it.

Your game will thank you for it.
