The Forge™ Flare brings the heat with solid reactive technology unlike anything ever seen before in the MOTIV® line!  Designed for use on medium-heavy oil conditions, it provides unparalleled traction in the front of the lane, without sacrificing down lane reaction. 

The ability of the Forge™ Flare to shape so easily in higher oil volumes is possible because of new Coercion™ MXC (MaXimum Continuation) Solid Reactive cover stock.  It is the strongest solid shell ever created by MOTIV®.  Most impressive is the continuation from such a strong cover.  

The Forge™ Flare partners this new cover technology with the symmetrical Detonator™ core, which is utilized to provide a low RG and high differential.  The result is a fast revving, strong, and continuous bowling ball with massive track flare potential.

When To Use:

  • Speed Dominant: Often, speed dominant bowlers are forced to use an asymmetric bowling ball to limit the skid phase as much as possible.  Sometimes, this means sacrificing continuation.  By combining this unbelievably strong cover with a symmetrical core, the bowler will be able to rely on the shell to slow the ball down without sacrificing continuation at all.
  • Balanced: This is the ball that a tweener dreams of.  A ball so strong that they are able to move left on high volume patterns and see shape instead of having their shim taken away by the higher rev players.  The Forge Flare opens a new portion of the lane for fresh oil and early transition in heavy oil for balanced bowlers.
  • Rev Dominant: Rev dominant players will find that they can shape a Forge Flare with ease in a way that no other solid cover ball has ever allowed them on heavy oil.

    The Forge Flare is the STRONGEST ball I have ever thrown.
    I love this ball it can handle heavy oil like it doesn’t exist. It never stops hooking throughout the entire lane and still saves it’s energy for the pins. You need to get this one there has never been one like it. MOTIV showed off with ball I’m ready to see the next one.

    Forge Flare!!

    Hands down the strongest symmetric ball I've ever thrown! The Forge Flare combines the same Detonator core that's seen in the original Forge and Forge Fire, with a brand new solid reactive cover stock. This ball is going to be a game changer for me, because it allows me to move deeper into the lane and open my angles on fresh oil. This is possible because of how hard the ball digs in the middle of the lane and how continuous it is off the spot. Having a lower rev rate, I've always had to change ball speeds or manipulate my hand on fresh oil to get the ball to come off the spot, but the Forge Flare gives me the ability to keep my normal swing without sacrificing hook or hitting potential. Compared to the Forge Fire, the Flare handles the oil more effectively and doesn't lane shine as quickly, meaning I can get deeper into blocks with it without having to make a ball change. This ball is a game changer for me, and will be for you too!

    MUST HAVE!

    I never thought that a ball that was advertised as strong as it was would be something that would be of any use to me. My ball speed is already slow and already normally have a hard time getting stronger balls like this to corner down lane and get through the pins, but boy was I wrong. This ball lives up to all expectations and then some! The Forge Flare that I drilled was layed out with a 4 inch pin to my PAP, with a 70º VAL angle for me.

    This is a ball that I think many collegiate players are going to love as their 1 ball because it's a ball that I feel can be used from anywhere on the lane which is something that you wouldn't expect out of a ball that's this strong. I can back my hand out of it and roll it to play straight, but what really impresses me most about this ball is that even with the super strong cover that can handle the heaviest amounts of oil on the fresh, it corners when you need to move left, knock the finger holes out of it and it STILL gets through the pins.

    The Forge Flare is a ball that is going to go absolutely everywhere with me and can be used on a variety of conditions. House, long, short and everything in between, MOTIV hit it out of the park with this new cover and I can't wait to see what they put on it next!

    Strongest ball I have ever thrown

    The Forge Flare is a medium-heavy oil ball and is the strongest ball I have ever thrown! The Forge Flare creates a lot of shape on the back end even though it digs in so much. The Flare features low RG combined with high differential for fast revving, strong, and continuous motion with massive track flare potential. This is a ball you will want to have in your bag for sure!

    Forge Flare Review

    I was a huge fan of both the Original Forge and the Forge Fire so going into this release I was pretty excited. The Forge Flare combines Motiv’s strongest coverstock to date with Forge’s Detonator core. This core cover combo allows the ball to dig into the lanes really early without losing any energy down lane on medium/heavy patterns. I used my go to layout on this ball with a 4.5" pin distance and this let me get left and really slow roll the whole lane without burning up down lane. Compared to the Forge Fire it’s about 1 to 2 arrows bigger for me. This is easily one of the strongest balls Motiv has made to date! So if you’re in the Market for a new medium to heavy oil piece, check out the Forge Flare!! World Wide Release Date: 12/9/2020
