The new Golden Jackal™ brings the legend of a pearl Jackal™ to life.  Providing more length through the oil, the Golden Jackal™ displays an impressive backend motion.  Never before has there been a Jackal™ with this kind of agility and speed!

The Golden Jackal™ features the latest Predator™ V3 asymmetric weight block to provide massive track flare potential and hooking power.  This technology also produces a very low RG so the Golden Jackal™ is easier to rev, making it more forgiving on heavy oil patterns than higher RG balls that may slip past the proper transition point.

For generating powerful angle in high volume environments, the Hexion™ SE cover is incredible.  This Strength Enhanced version of Hexion™ technology produces outstanding down lane motion without sacrificing traction in the oil.  The factory finish on the Golden Jackal™ cover stock is 4000 Grit LSS.

    Golden Jackal is a beast

Have always been a Motiv guy from the Primal to the Trident and Jackal line; I've been very impressed. Have had the Golden Jackal for a few months now, and I have been very impressed with the overall movement throughout the lane, and nothing hits the pins like a Motiv, especially the Jackal line. Thanks Motiv for being the best in bowling.

    Bye Bye Oil!!

The Golden Jackal first shot I played the same line as I did with the the Jackal Ghost. Where it would stall, the Golden Jackal just keep hooking. This is one beast of a a ball. Sad to say I forgot my bowling shoes so I had to rent bowling shoes (gag). Were it not for forgetting my shoes, I could have done better. But considering 3 of the 6 games were above my average, I cannot complain. I am looking forward to see what this ball can do for me when I use my regular shoes.

    Golden Jackal Review

    Review:

The Golden Jackal is the latest release from MOTIV Bowling products. They say a legend never dies and boy are we right with the Golden Jackal. The Golden Jackal brings back the legend of the original pearl Jackal with the shape we loved to today’s standards and technology. The Golden Jackal features the Predator V3 asymmetrical weight block and we paired it with the Hexion SE cover stock. This combination gives the Golden Jackal massive hooking power and strong backend motion that just drives through the pins on heavy oil. If you’re looking for something strong and looks good then the Golden Jackal is for you.

    Comments:
As they say a legend never dies and The Golden Jackal brings a legend back to life. If you loved how the original Jackal looked and preformed then you will love the Golden Jackal. I love the shape it gives me as well as it performs when I’m bowling on heavier and flatter patterns. For me being a higher rev player, THS I will use this first game but as the pattern breaks down, I’ll ball down to something slower response. But this is the ball I usually use when bowling tournaments because it just does not disappoint. Medium to higher rev players will love this ball just as I previous stated. Lower rev players will love this because the length you will get as the hitting power both on fresh and as lanes break down and you have to move in.

Likes: Hooking power; Retainable Energy; continuation through the pins

    Dislikes: None

I recommend the Golden Jackal for all types of bowlers.

    Motiv Golden Jackal Review

The Golden Jackal is the latest pearl asymmetric offering in MOTIV's Hp lineup. Incorporating the proven Jackal core with an amplified version of the hexion pearl coverstock, this ball provides bowlers with a unique pearl reaction not seen in the market. Providing angularity on most fresh house patterns yet giving bowlers a controlled explosion into the pocket.

I drilled mine pin over ring with cg on mid line and MB 1 1/2" off the center of my thumb. I was blown away with controlled motion off of the friction even on a fresh shot and not sacrificing the corner carry associated with a control entry. I could move left as the shot dried down lane and still push through the carry down. This ball glides through the heads like you would expect a pearl to do yet never got over under reaction at the end of the pattern for me on two different houses.

    The Golden Jackal

The Golden Jackal. You’ve all read the tech specs so let me get right into my thoughts. I did not get the opportunity to toss the original Jackal so I was really excited to get this ball in my hands. I drilled mine pin above the bridge. This is the same layout I used on my Villain Scorn.

Out the box, this ball was much stronger than I had anticipated. I was bowling on what was left over from league and had to take a good 5 board step left from where I usually start off. In comparison to my Villain Scorn, the Golden Jackal reads a few feet sooner and isn’t as angular off the spot. Overall they covered about the same amount of boards. At this finish, this would be a great ball to start off in league and ball down to something like a Venom Shock or T10.

I decided to sand my Jackal to 1500 and add some polish. I was looking for a bit more bite down lane and for the polish to help it get through the heads. With this set up I found I was able to play much straighter and was able to use the Jackal for a longer period of time before running out of room or carry. In my 3 game practice session, I was able to use the Golden Jackal for all 3 games and only move about 2 boards.

The Golden Jackal is a ball for people looking for something to play in the oil and still have some pop in the backends. Throw a little polish and you have a ball you can use all night in league. In a recent tournament I went straight to a VSP once the lanes started to burn up and found this to be a great 1-2 combo.
