Combining two of MOTIV®’s greatest releases, the Primal Rage and Venom Shock, the Primal Shock bowling ball takes the best of both balls to create something truly special. Turmoil MFS cover technology from the Venom Shock and the Impulse V2 core from the Primal Rage combine to provide strong mid-lane traction with plenty of angle down lane. Motiv’s Primal Shock dominates medium to heavy oil conditions, offering a vast array of options to attack the lanes. This is a can’t miss combination that bowlers have been asking for since 2013!

Turmoil MFS technology has been a benchmark for MOTIV, providing moderate mid-lane traction with plenty of down lane motion. Featured in the longest running MOTIV ball of all time, the Venom Shock, this cover perfectly balances control and aggression. This is the pinnacle of benchmark ball motion.

The Primal Shock takes the ultimate benchmark ball motion found in the Venom Shock and amps up performance by pairing it with the strong Impulse V2 core found in the Primal Rage. This core creates incredibly strong down-lane motion and marks a significant upgrade in overall core strength from the Gear core found in the Venom Shock. When paired with the Turmoil MFS cover, the result is a medium-heavy and moderately angular monster that is a must have in every bag.

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers - Many speed dominant bowlers are unable to use balls with differentials as low as the Venom Shock. A more dynamic core allows these bowlers to use the same cover stock, but with a motion that suits them. The Primal Shock will be a moderately angular complement to a speed dominant bowler’s benchmark ball. This will be an outstanding first transition ball for bowlers with excessive speed or lower rev rates.
  • Balanced Bowlers - The Venom Shock is a balanced bowler’s dream. It’s been the benchmark ball for those bowlers for years now and will continue to be. Over the years, many balanced bowlers have said that they’d like a more angular Venom Shock and one that could create more down lane motion. The Primal Shock is that ball.
  • Rev Dominant Bowlers - The highest rev rate and lowest speed bowlers will use the Primal Shock on fresh oil and high volume patterns when they need to create some angle. Before the rev dominant players can get all the way into the angular pearls, a Primal Shock will allow for easy mid-lane read and moderate angle to start opening up their angles on transitioning lanes.

    Strong back end!

    This ball is one of my favorite balls. I still am partial to the original Shock but for when I need a little more back end than the original Shock, this ball meets and exceeds my expectations.

    Primal Shock

    The Primal Shock is exactly what Motiv fans have been asking for. The Primal Shock delivers a great shape with massive backend. I have always been a down and in player, and the Primal Shock has opened up so much more of the lane for me. Will be recommending this ball for a long time.

    Primal Shock

    The Primal Shock this ball has looks and it delivers. if you are looking for that ball with a strong Midlane read and strong backend this is your ball. I had a 279 game right out of the box and nothing but pin explosion. The only thing I would change on this ball is it name to Primal Explosion when this ball hits it’s like cattle round-up pins are every ware.

    Primal Shock

    I really enjoy watching this ball down lane! I throw low revs, low speed. I've never been able to move left much because I couldn't get the ball to turn the corner enough to get back to the pocket. I am starting a full zone left of where I usually start and as the transition hits, it's no problem to go a few boards more left. I love the way this ball turns when it hits the friction. This ball has found a "forever home" in my bag! Motiv, you've hit a home run with this one!

    Venom shock on steroids

    I got this rock punched out on Friday and tried it out in league, I had to put it away for it was way too strong for the pair I was on. I went home and hit it with the Motiv power gel shine 5500 polish. All I can say is wowzer, Shot a quick 643 set along with my Forge Fire and Revolt LE.Game 1 I used mainly the Primal Shock and popped 243, should have been 260's but sent it a little wide testing the out of bounds and left big four otherwise I was splitting the 8/9 like no tomorrow. The surface takes very well to polish and can be scuffed to whatever you desire. Thank you Motiv for another great product. Now I am waiting on my Black Venom to show up and throw another fantastic ball!!!
