Prepare to conquer the deep with the Trident Abyss.  Merging the Turbulent asymmetric core and a modified Coercion cover, this is the strongest ball ever made by MOTIV® and it is built to dominate in a flood of oil.  Beneath the surface of the Trident Abyss is the Turbulent weight block.  It provides a lower RG, high differential, and strong asymmetry. This combination creates maximum track flare to make the turn in deep oil.  The Coercion HV3 (High Volume 3rd Generation) reactive cover on the Trident Abyss has been modified to dig even harder in heavy oil.  The 2-tone gray solid shell is tuned with a 2000 Grit LSS finish to provide maximum traction. The Trident Abyss is an obvious fit for speed dominant and low rev bowlers looking for more hook.  Competitive bowlers will want to use it to cap off their MOTIV® arsenal with a very strong piece that provides control on heavy oil patterns.

    Great ball

    Got the Abyss when it first came out because I needed something stronger on heavy oil patterns. My Forza SS just wasn't enough sometimes, and the Abyss really helped! Responded well when I played in tournaments that had heavy oil conditions and could use the ball for 5-6 games without any problems. It comes back so you can be sure of hitting the pocket if you send the ball a little bit further right.

    Auto targets the pocket.

    I feel the ball just turns and auto targets the pocket and hits so hard when getting there. This ball has done nothing but improve my game and average by a lot, and I have the highest series and games bowled ever with this ball.

    Amazing ball. Period.

    I got the Trident Abyss in early March and my average shot up. Prior to using the the Abyss, my average was 170 because I couldn't string strikes. I would leave flat tens because the current balls in my arsenal just didn't store enough energy at the pins and would deflect if my angles were too big. But after using the ball I threw averages of 200 because this ball really does hook and plows through the pins. It is ridiculous how strong this ball is. This ball hooks more and drives harder through the pins than anything else in my current arsenal or even any of my friends stuff that they say hooks like a monster. Well I gotta say the true hook monster with a smooth motion is definitely the Trident Abyss.

    Amazing Ball

    Bought this ball back in December; I tested the demo first and loved it.
    Had it drilled for me. At first, I could not figure this ball out. I wasn’t used to the way it hooked rolled nothing. So I put it in the bag and didn’t touch it for a month.
    After the first of the year I got it out and started throwing it. Finally figured it out and this ball works great. Shot my 2nd 300 in February with it. The Abyss is my go to ball in my home house now. Absolutely love the way this balls moves!

    Eats up oil like my first vehicle!

    There are so many similarities between this ball and my first car: Guzzles down oil, oozes sexiness, and keeps on driving!

    To be honest, I bought this ball for NO OTHER reason than I teach Greek mythology and LOVE the thought of a Poseidon allusion adorning my ball rack. On the Kansas high school circuit, I don't play enough heavy oil to justify this ball. Superficial impulse buying aside, I haven't had this much fun with a toy since pogs were a thing!

    It's the smoothest motion Motiv ball I've ever thrown, and one of the more forgiving. Out of the box, I threw straight strikes from three different boards in an experiment game. Two weeks later, I bowled my PR of 234. While it claims to be in Motiv's "heavy oil" line, I've found it to be a universal ball that plays well on a typical house pattern.

    I hope my other balls took out a life insurance policy because they're about to go the way of the Dodo!
