When I first got the Venom Recoil, I had trouble lining up my shot. But I kept practice with it and then I saw what the Recoil was doing and found my angle. What I witnessed was a long slow build up, then STRIKE! A gradual arc with sudden movement off the end. No wonder they called this ball the Venom Recoil.
Currently I bowl 4 game doubles league later in the evening after the lanes have been chewed up by earlier league. I can throw the Recoil the whole time with minimal adjustments once I've found my zone.

Only bowling once a week now about 6 games. I have this ball drilled pin up center to over ring finger with CG kicked out. I like to get as far right as I can being an older guy I was used to bouncing it off the wet / dry wall. My favorite thing to do. Love the motion of this ball. In practice 1st game 279 hence the review heading. Thank you Motiv superior bowling balls and product include great service.

Purchased this ball with the intent of replacing both Venom Shocks that I use. Trying to get ahead of the new balance hole rules. One of the Shock is polished with a P1 hole to reduce and delay its hooking motion. Shock #2 is at box finish and is the newer one. With two Shocks drilled similar but with different surface/balance hole configurations, it is easy to find a starting point each night.
The Venom Recoil has a very similar shot shape. Early, continuous and strong. This ball is more forgiving on a shot that hangs out 1-2 boards outside (RH) leaving less 10 pins to convert. Exactly what was needed!
If you like how your Shock rolls this ball will NOT disappoint!
221 avg, 2 300's (Shock), 1 800 (GT1). Medium oil. Slightly more inside than down and in, but not a cranker.
Previous Motiv equipment. Recoil, Venom Shock (4) yes, I really like those, Forza Redline, Thrash, Raptor Attack and GT1.
The Venom Recoil fits exactly in the Motiv ball chart.
