At the heart of the Raptor Reign is the Affliction V2—MOTIV’s strongest symmetrical core, period. This fast-spinning, low-RG powerhouse grips the mid-lane in its talons, giving you the control you crave. With a high differential of .055, the Raptor Reign provides incredible flare potential. Forget the myth that only asym cores can handle heavy oil. This core brings the versatility and incredible continuation synonymous with symmetrical cores to heavy oil conditions.
Wrapped around the Affliction V2 core is the new Leverage MXV Solid reactive coverstock. This cover evolved for today’s conditions. Strong enough to chew through high volumes of oil but versatile enough to create motion when lanes are tight. It’s as strong in the soup as the Subzero Forge or Jackal Onyx, but it keeps its shape downlane for more drive through the pins. While previous Leverage covers were built to smooth things out, the Raptor Reign dominates carrydown with nonstop drive. Don’t chase reaction, impose it with the Raptor Reign.
The Raptor Reign is a dream come true for speed dominant bowlers as it provides a fast spinning, high flaring core with a coverstock that digs in the front without losing all of its steam down lane. More down lane motion with a strong coverstock is a great development for speed dominant players.
Balanced bowlers are going to love the Raptor Reign early in blocks on high volume conditions. Even if there is urethane dragging oil down lane, the Raptor Reign will be a great option due to the versatile coverstock and strong Affliction V2 core.
For the highest rev rate and lowest ball speed bowlers, the Raptor Reign will be a versatile must have in the arsenal. Over the last year, Landin Jordan, EJ Tackett, Ethan Fiore, and Santtu Tahvanainen have all found success using polished Subzero Forges. In conversation about what should be next, the feeling was that a stronger solid cover that was not as forward down lane would be a great addition. The Raptor Reign is that new addition the highest rev tour players asked for. Outstanding on fresh and heavy oil, but also a versatile trick for controlling the lanes even when shiny, the Raptor Reign is the next evolution in heavy oil symmetrics.
Let my PSO drill it for me. Went with a 20x3 3/8x 20 layout with it and it works very well for me. My oil ball, keep it at box finish and works really well on sport patterns.

After some time with this ball, it has quickly become my go to first out of the bag ball. I bowl two different houses one with med/heavy oil and one with medium to light with very dry outside. this ball has been great at both houses very versatile, smooth and controllable. Doesn’t over hook when I get it to the dry and still hits like a truck when I’m in oil. I feel confident when throwing this ball and always have tons of miss room that I don’t have with other balls in my arsenal.

I recently went from 15lb to 14lb because of arthritis and wanted a ball with a big core to not lose too much power. This ball was the right choice. It hits hard and is very controllable. I use it on medium oil lanes. I just find the oil and let it rip.

Raptor Reign offers a lot of hook and power, and it is stronger at the breakpoint to that of Raptor Fury.
Raptor Reign provides a continuous at the back end., the 2000 box finished combined with the low RG core shape gets it rolling quickly. Bowlers with higher speeds or those who want the ball to start up earlier will like the motion of the Raptor Reign.
Overall Summary
I enjoyed the look I had on heavy oil with Raptor Reign, the Leverage MXV Solid carved a path right through the heaviest part of the pattern allowing me to cover a large amount of area playing the middle of the lane.
Once Raptor Reign carved enough of the pattern I simply moved further left, although I still had plenty of ball motion it also kept its natural box finish.
I’m a huge fan of traction which is why I love Subzero Forge and Primal Ghost, and both are staples in my arsenal.
If you’re a fan of traction and continuous ball motion, I encourage your to take a look at Raptor Reign and Reign over your opponents.
