The lanes have changed.  There’s more oil up front and more carrydown turning the fresh into chaos. Fast.  Lane conditions change, but winners adapt.  Introducing the Raptor Reign, a modern heavy-oil beast designed for high-performance bowlers who need added bite on the lanes. This new Raptor is an aggressive solid reactive ball built with the new competitive bowling environment in mind. This ball grips the lane in its talons and never lets go.

THE CORE: POWER, UNLEASHED

At the heart of the Raptor Reign is the Affliction V2—MOTIV’s strongest symmetrical core, period.  This fast-spinning, low-RG powerhouse grips the mid-lane in its talons, giving you the control you crave.  With a high differential of .055, the Raptor Reign provides incredible flare potential.  Forget the myth that only asym cores can handle heavy oil. This core brings the versatility and incredible continuation synonymous with symmetrical cores to heavy oil conditions.

Wrapped around the Affliction V2 core is the new Leverage MXV Solid reactive coverstock. This cover evolved for today’s conditions.  Strong enough to chew through high volumes of oil but versatile enough to create motion when lanes are tight. It’s as strong in the soup as the Subzero Forge or Jackal Onyx, but it keeps its shape downlane for more drive through the pins. While previous Leverage covers were built to smooth things out, the Raptor Reign dominates carrydown with nonstop drive.  Don’t chase reaction, impose it with the Raptor Reign.

When to Use

Speed Dominant - The Raptor Reign is a dream come true for speed dominant bowlers as it provides a fast spinning, high flaring core with a coverstock that digs in the front without losing all of its steam down lane.  More down lane motion with a strong coverstock is a great development for speed dominant players.

Balanced Bowlers - Balanced bowlers are going to love the Raptor Reign early in blocks on high volume conditions.  Even if there is urethane dragging oil down lane, the Raptor Reign will be a great option due to the versatile coverstock and strong Affliction V2 core.

Rev Dominant - For the highest rev rate and lowest ball speed bowlers, the Raptor Reign will be a versatile must have in the arsenal.  Over the last year, Landin Jordan, EJ Tackett, Ethan Fiore, and Santtu Tahvanainen have all found success using polished Subzero Forges.  In conversation about what should be next, the feeling was that a stronger solid cover that was not as forward down lane would be a great addition.  The Raptor Reign is that new addition the highest rev tour players asked for.  Outstanding on fresh and heavy oil, but also a versatile trick for controlling the lanes even when shiny, the Raptor Reign is the next evolution in heavy oil symmetrics.

    Best ball I’ve had for a long time.

    I recently went from 15lb to 14lb because of arthritis and wanted a ball with a big core to not lose too much power. This ball was the right choice. It hits hard and is very controllable. I use it on medium oil lanes. I just find the oil and let it rip.

    Raptor Reign offers a lot of hook and power, and it is stronger at the breakpoint to that of Raptor Fury.
    Raptor Reign provides a continuous at the back end., the 2000 box finished combined with the low RG core shape gets it rolling quickly. Bowlers with higher speeds or those who want the ball to start up earlier will like the motion of the Raptor Reign.

    Overall Summary
    I enjoyed the look I had on heavy oil with Raptor Reign, the Leverage MXV Solid carved a path right through the heaviest part of the pattern allowing me to cover a large amount of area playing the middle of the lane.
    Once Raptor Reign carved enough of the pattern I simply moved further left, although I still had plenty of ball motion it also kept its natural box finish.
    I’m a huge fan of traction which is why I love Subzero Forge and Primal Ghost, and both are staples in my arsenal.
    If you’re a fan of traction and continuous ball motion, I encourage your to take a look at Raptor Reign and Reign over your opponents.

    The new Raptor Reign is by far the strongest of the Raptors we have released yet. The new cover formula has created a similar strength in oil to the previous Raptors as well as the Subzero Forge, but with providing more overall shape downlane. This allows it to separate itself from the Subzero Forge and not overlap too much as it is more responsive, while also not stepping on the toes of the Jackal line as it provides similar strength but with more overall continuity through the pin deck. I decided to drill this one pin down to accentuate that shape even more and I am very impressed with the shape as pin down symmetric balls tend to become too clean, but this one is so strong front to back, it just gave me a shape unlike anything else in my arsenal! Fantastic addition to the MOTIV line and Raptor Family!

    FANtastically reads the oil!

    I bowl at a wood lane center that puts down a medium volume oil pattern. I'm a Power Stroker with the ball speed of 16 mph and about 380 to 400 revs. I purchased the ball for tournament patterns and never thought it would work in league. First 3 games out of box in league and shot a 769 with a 300. The ball read the oil really well and I was able to miss into the dry late and it would cover. I was playing feet at 22, target was 15 at the arrows swining to 10 off the pattern (42ft). In practice I tried multiple lines and would recommend this ball for all bowling styles! Its truly a must put in the bag type of ball!

    Wow, great, great ball. Nice smooth motion and boy does this thing really blow up the pins. As soon as it was released I knew I had to have it seeing I loved my Fury.
