The urethane Combat Tank is unique. It features a hybrid Alchemy™ cover and the Recon™ weight block, which has never been used before to drive a MOTIV® urethane ball.  

One of the rarest compositions in the history of bowling, Alchemy™ Hybrid is a unique urethane.  Pearl urethane is often too weak and clean for the viscous modern oils.  Solid urethane shells are most common, but their strength in the front of the lane makes them difficult to use without fresh oil in the heads. The Alchemy™ Hybrid cover offers easier length and greater continuation without sacrificing that silky smooth urethane motion.

Never before used in a MOTIV® urethane ball, the Recon™ weight block provides a higher RG and more differential than the Gear™ V2 used in the Tank™ Rampage.  The benefit is slightly more length with more down lane continuation.

While the Combat Tank™ features a box finish of 3000 Grit LSS to compliment the hybrid technology, surface adjustments will make a huge difference in performance.  Power Gel® Gloss will maximize length and a more aggressive sanded finish will provide more hook and a smoother motion.

    Hits like a Tank!

    This ball is one of few urethanes that actually allow me to have a little miss room, and that's huge for me. With this new cover and core combination I'm easily able to get a different shape from the Rampage, giving me two distinct entry angles to the pocket whenever I've decided it's time to throw urethane. The Combat Tank has a more pronounced movement downlane than the Rampage, which helps a lot with getting out those pesky corner pins when the Rampage is too smooth off the end of the pattern.

    I see myself being able to throw this ball on lighter house shots and shorter tournament patterns without any difficulty at all. It's another home run Motiv!

    Combat Tank-Smooth urethane motion that packs a punch

    Layout:

    Using speed and accuracy, I decided to try a ball that gives me continuation without sacrificing a ball that wouldn't hit the pocket with power. the Alchemy Hybrid cover gives me the overall length that I wanted and with a layout that takes the majority of the lane to rev up, this Recon weight block hits like a MAC truck!!

    This core/hybrid cover gives me the length I need and it has an aggressive flip on the back end. I can play on heavy oil and fire it up 2nd arrow or I can play inside on a fresh house shot with this beast. Absolutely love this ball and recommend this because it's a urethane with length and a weight block that hits with continuation as it hits the pocket.

    I've waited too long to jump on the urethane bandwagon and I'm glad the combat tank is my first urethane ball.

    I have my combat tank drilled 45x4x30. I've been using it in both a challenge shot league with a 38' 4:1 pattern. and in another league on a typical house shot.

    This ball loves to be thrown straight up the track area. keep it between the 5-10 board and it just finds the pocket, even challenging patterns. The hitting power is also exceptional for a down and in line.
