I've been using Power gel scuff and/or its predessor for a number of years. It cleans and scuffs very well. I've used other scuffing cleaners in the past but Motiv's Power Gel Scuff is the best.

The best product we have. For our matt low grit balls and the color matt balls. It makes the Evoke like new and the Jackal Ambush comes alive. We always use the Gel Clean on this after we buff off the Scuff and have better results yet. Do not go anywhere without this, a must have.

I ordered this along with the Shine product to prep for an upcoming tournament. I really needed the Shine for my pearl options but I have 4 solid (Jackal Ambush, Black Venom, Venom Shock, OG Pride) and 1 hybrid ball (Mythic Jackal) that I wanted to clean up as well. I didn't put this on any of mine yet but I did test it on my son's Pride Dynasty that had about 50 games on it and was looking pretty cringe. I used it to clean (not the apply, let dry and remove method), simply wiping on with a micro fiber towel and wiping off with a second clean micro fiber towel and it removed all of surface stain that it had collected (those who have the lighter colored matte balls like the yellow Tank, the Dynasty, or the Evoke know how these balls start to look). Not only did this remove the staining that had accumulated, there was some glue over-run around his thumb hole from when the pro-shop drilled the ball. This compound removed all of it with a minimal amount of effort. You can do this with Amplify but it requires a lot more effort. I gave the Shine product 4 out of 5 stars because the smell is mildly offensive, but the Scuff has a mild smell similar to the Venom Shock. Great product and really impressive.

I throw a lot of stronger bowling balls that stay at a lower grit surface. This has been a perfect cleaner for me. The Power Gel Scuff cleaner is easy to use for anyone at home and absolutely produces results. It helps maintain those more matte finishes and can bring right back that nice fresh tacky feeling to your bowling ball. I use this at least once a month on multiple Motiv bowling balls and it absolutely helps maintain that strong consistency you wanna see from those lower grit surfaces. It has made a noticeable difference in the long run for me as my bowling balls stay rolling the way I want them to much longer without any advanced cleaning techniques needed.
