Two legends combine to create the new Primal Ghost!  This isn’t just a new ball, it’s a monster built for destruction.  Take the legendary Jackal Ghost, the longest-running asymmetrical powerhouse on the market, and its legendary Coercion HFS Solid cover.  Now merge that with the Impulse V2 core, the same core behind killers like the Primal Shock and Primal Rage Evolution.  This fusion of two technologies creates a new beast designed to dominate medium oil conditions.

The Impulse V2 core is back, and it’s still a monster.  This is the same core that dominated in the original Primal Rage, the Primal Shock, and the Primal Rage Evolution.  With a high RG profile and .050 differential, this beast delivers insane energy retention and 5”+ of flare potential.  Proven. Explosive.

Coercion HFS has been the benchmark for heavy oil control for over a decade.  It’s strong, predictable, and continuous. And now—it’s paired with a higher RG core, giving you length without sacrificing grip.  You don’t mess with a formula that works, so we didn’t. When to Use

Speed Dominant - Many speed dominant bowlers love the Jackal Ghost, so adding a ball to compliment it when the lanes start to get dry makes so much sense.  The Primal Ghost is a simple and easy ball down from the Jackal Ghost.  Additionally, it should be a great benchmark for speed dominant bowlers on moderate to moderate-dry lane conditions. 

Balanced - For people who are balanced in their speed to rev rate ratio, the Primal Ghost will be a great option for the middle of their bag.  With a smooth, moderately strong coverstock and a higher rg core, the Primal Ghost shouldn’t get started too early while providing a smooth down lane motion.  The Primal Ghost is an earlier and smoother motion than that of the Primal Shock. 

Rev Dominant - Those with the most revs and/or lowest speed will benefit greatly from the combination of a high rg core with a smooth coverstock.  For many rev dominant bowlers, the Primal Ghost will work well as a first ball out of the bag on a typical house shot or moderate volume league pattern.

    The Primal Ghost continues where the Primal Shock left off

    The Primal series has always been a favorite of mine! I own the Primal Shock and the Primal Rage Evolution and now the Primal Ghost. The Primal Ghost easily replaces my Primal Shock in my bag and is my new favorite at the moment. The Primal Ghost still has the backend like all the primal balls do, but with putting the Ghost cover on it makes it more smooth. My first game throwing the Primal Ghost was a 300 game! This ball is the first ball I have ever done that with. This is a great ball for the middle of your bag. If you like any of the other primal balls, go out and get a Primal Ghost. You won’t regret it!

    Having a great time with the primal ghost

    Finally got to use the primal ghost for three games. I didn't have to ball up or down and shot a good set for a 676 clean, no opens!

    Everything I Didn't Know I Wanted

    Taking the Jackal Ghost Cover which for me played like a Slower Response Cover and Coupling it with the Primal Weight Block which is Higher RG meaning it loves to get down lane before it spends energy creates a very interesting blended look as the ball transitions from the skid to hook to roll phase.

    This Ball comes out of the box with some grit but doesn't over grab early, it remains balanced. You would think at that box surface it might grab and burn out being that dull but it doesn't. Its a slow burn and I feel the weight block is what helps with that. My mind was blown how much further right I was able to play with this ball and not being immediately forced in to deep to early. The ball just rolled, no big snap, no hockey stick, nothing unexpected. Just a clean, smooth, predictable roll. It's my first ball out of the bag these days because I can stay a little further right longer and help blend out the cliffed nonsense that passes for a house shot these days without having to throw urethane or microcell.

    I love it and I highly recommend it to anybody hunting for a controlled piece to add to their bag.

    Primal Ghost or Primal GOAT?

    One of my favorite times of being on Staff was the days of the Forge Fire and the Limited Edition T10. They are and will be two of my absolute favorite bowling balls of all time. Now, we have the Steel Forge and the Primal Ghost. I have been a huge fan of higher RG solids my entire competitive bowling career and this one takes the cake. Everything I ever loved about my favorite asym of all time, the Jackal Ghost, and everything I loved about the T10 and Primal line have been combined into one ball that dare I say, can do it all? It retains energy better than other big symmetric solids while still controlling the lane. It provides that proven Primal ball motion and pin action, while giving you, as the bowler, the control that the entire MOTIVnation and beyond have come to associate with the Jackal Ghost. This is a piece that anyone could keep in their bag as a benchmark ball as it is easily one of the utmost versatile balls I have ever thrown. I would recommend this one to every bowler out there.
